Healing is a winding road. It is often said that healing is a non-linear process. And also a process you can't plan out or control. The art of surrendering doesn't mean giving up. It means to let go of the control.
It means to shift from control to trust.
In order to do that, you must know what your body is always doing for you. It is your best partner, your intelligent friend, that knows how to always return to optimal functioning. Trusting the body that it knows what and how to do is crucial. Surrendering is necessary. You have to be like water. Ever pliable. Non-resisting. Willing to change, to adapt.
As a homeopath, I always have a trajectory plan out for each of my patients. I have remedies prepared in my mind that I will use. But I also always have an open space where I keep alternative remedies that I will use in cases the healing changes its route.
You know, with each remedy you are shifting in your frequency, and that brings out a different perspective and state. I always have to be ready to shift my original plan to suit the new one accordingly. Ever-changing process of restoring optimal health.
Your body is always guiding.
Sometimes we think of a remedy that will fit perfectly after the current one. Only to realise the process of the body has shifted elsewhere. You can see this as chaotic. But we can't see from outside the processes the body is doing most of the time. We know the body always prioritises the most important, from the most life-threatening processes to the least. In order to preserve.
So if you are taking remedies to help you restore your incontinence, but your process is taking you to put attention on your tooth abscess, it knows what it's doing. This is a moment to surrender to the intelligence of the body and not push against it in order to feel more temporarily comfortable with eliminating the desired symptom.
Trusting the process, surrendering and allowing the healing to take whatever course it needs to take.
